The Career Guidance Center is expected to help reduce youth unemployment in the Sandzak region.
Financial support for the founding of the career center was provided by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through its Economic Security Project. USAID provided computers and software for center’s operation. The Career Center’s launch builds on the cooperation between USAID and SUNP which previously resulted in the funding of the school’s new Audio-Visual Laboratory.
USAID’s Economic Security Program focuses on the Sandzak region. It provides support to a number of youth employment initiatives, including to municipal Youth Offices and small- and medium-sized businesses in an effort to speed the region’s economic recovery.
